Yes mine is different style and I’ve wondered if that is because I started it before having children or because I write a diary as well. Tricky decision about changing blogs, could you run two in parallel and put the posts that are not about N on the other one and hopefully you’ll gradually transfer followers over?

Your blog’s very different I guess. Mine’s much more a journal of what we do and that’s ideally how I want to keep it, although maybe overtime it’ll have to go more private as N gets older and I’ll need to start a new blog…I’ve got a domain just need to decide if I change this one to it now or just wait until N no longer wants to be on the blog and then change it or start from scratch.

I don’t think I do or would do the whole emotional outpouring which many diaries have, it’d be more factual which lends it more to my blog.

My blog has never been a subsitute for my diary, even when I wrote a more personal one on LiveJournal. Have you seen my comparison between my diary and blog? I don’t think I will ever go fully digital as I love the process of using a pen on paper. I have my books in a variety of places around the house and would love them to be in one place in chronological order but I maybe surprise how much space they take up.

Thank you for your comment and coming back to the site. How is it going with your notebook? I still have my copy of Judy Blume memory books, although it looks like I started it twice (there is a lot of Tippex) but never finished. I wonder if there is something similar my daughter could do (although at 7 I don’t think she is ready for Judy Blume).

Don’t know if you’re old enough to remember this but back in ’82 (I think) my mom got me a Judy Blume diary. I really filled that thing! Wish I had thought to buy a few for future use.
